The Eastern Illinois Foodbank honored the Community Foundation as a member of the inaugural class of Mission Impact Award recipients.
As part of the Foodbank’s celebration of its 30th year providing food to families in east central Illinois, The Community Foundation was recognized for its longtime support. The Community Foundation presented a $40,000 check to the Foodbank in 2012 as part of its own 40th Anniversary celebration. The gift was made possible by the W. Barkclay and F.C. Brasch Endowment and will be used to alleviate hunger among the area’s senior citizens.
