Joan Dixon, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois, has been appointed by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan to serve on the state’s Charitable Trust Advisory Council.
The Charitable Trust Advisory Council was created to serve, study and advise the attorney general on issues regarding charitable giving, volunteerism and fundraising in the state of Illinois. The council is a permanent body composed of citizens selected by the Attorney General.
Of the 50 current members of the Council, Dixon is the only representative from east central Illinois and one of only seven members from outside the Chicago area.
