In-person at First Presbyterian Champaign, 302 West Church Street
A well-functioning board of directors or trustees is essential to the health and sustainability of any nonprofit. Directors elected to officer roles, including chair, vice chair, secretary and treasurer, take on additional responsibilities that are vital to nonprofit governance.
But what do officers do? And how can we equip nonprofit officers to lead effectively?
In this 1-hour Board Bootcamp session we will explore common board officer roles and their corresponding duties. Then, we will breakout in small groups by officer type to share information, ask questions and discuss best practices with officers of other local nonprofit organizations, facilitated by officers of the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois.
This free, in-person training is ideal for current and aspiring board officers, board members, and nonprofit leaders who work with the board.
