Foundational Fundraising: Building Endowments 101

What is an endowment and should we have one? Nonprofit leaders, development staff and board members are invited to join the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois for the first of a two-part series on understanding and building strong and sustainable endowments to fuel your organization’s future. In this first session, learn how to assess your organization’s readiness to establish an endowment. Also, consider what infrastructure is required to manage and administer an endowment to support your organization over a set time frame or indefinitely.
About The Presenter
Shari Fox founded Fox Philanthropic Advisors in 2022 to help inspire meaningful philanthropy, one donor at a time. With more than 30 years of experience advising institutional donors in establishing and structuring their charitable gifts, she works as part of her clients’ team of advisors, helping them define their charitable objectives and implement plans and structures to achieve those objectives. She also consults with not-for-profit organizations to advance their major, planned, and principal gift programs.
